Hazelwood College Leaving Certificate Applied students recently climbed Knockfeirna as part of their Positive Mental Health Promotion Fortnight. Students were encouraged to undertake this physical challenge in order to gain a sense of positive achievement on reaching the summit, while also working together through encouragement. Recently Leaving Certificate Applied students completed a one day workshop where there was an emphasis on personal awareness, responsible decision making, respect for oneself and others.
Personal Safety and Awareness is an invaluable aspect of student development and relevant to students throughout their school career and adult life.
The students really enjoyed the day especially the self defence aspect.

Hazelwood College Leaving Certificate Applied II students visit Liscarroll Donkey Sanctuary as part of their LCA II Contemporary Issues task, where students focused on the issue of animal cruelty. In Liscarroll Donkey Sanctuary, students were able to see the efforts put into bringing the animals housed there back to health.
