Ladies Camogie Blitz
Munster Colleges 1st Year Camogie Blitz played on Wednesday the 9th of May in Mallow GAA.
Hazelwood College beat Hospital, St. Augustine’s and Kinsale on their way to the semi final where they were beaten by a strong Roscrea side. Well done girls

Thanks to Denis Fitzgerald and Ruth O’Mahony from Parkrun Newcastle West who came to talk about volunteering and parkrun to the 5th LCVP class. These students are volunteering in Newcastle West on Saturday 19th May. Runners, joggers, walkers are all welcome.
Ladies Football Blitz
Well done to the 1st year girls who travelled to Mallow today for the Munster Post Primary Ladies Football Blitz. The girls overcame Fermoy, Castleisland and Sliabh Luachra to reach the final. The girls finished runners up to Carrigaline in the final. The girls were fantastic throughout all 4 games. Medals will be presented at awards day. Special thanks to TY mentors, Shauna and Sarah.
Student Enterprise Awards
The very best of luck to our young entrepreneur, Evan Quaid as he represents Hazelwood at the National Finals of the Student Enterprise Awards in Dublin. He is all set up and ready to go.
Reminder – Variety Show Tonight
Rehearsals are continuing today for tonight’s Annual Variety Show. In keeping with years break from tradition, shows this year are full performances rather that the 50/50 variety show/musical mix of the past.

Munster Senior Shield
Hazelwood’s Senior soccer team who recently played the Final of the Munster Senior Shield. They were unlucky to be beaten by Kilmacthomas with a heartbreaking 88th minute goal. Congratulations to the team and coach Mr Sheahan on the great achievement of making it to the final and representing the school so well.
