1st Year Soccer

Our 1st yr boys soccer team with TY helpers who played a tough league game against Mungret CC today in TUS Limerick and who unfortunately came out the wrong side of a 2-1 scoreline. A great team effort, well done boys!!

Man of the Match

Well done Robbie and the Munster team. A tough game today vs Connacht in windy conditions finished 0-0 with both teams having some great chances. A 2-0 win over Ulster, 2-2 draw with Leinster and today’s draw with Connacht was enough to see Munster retain their School’s Interpro title from last year. A great performance by team captain Robbie saw him take the player of the match award today.

Best of luck to Robbie Lynch who has been representing Hazelwood College in the FAI Schools Interprovincial Tournament this weekend. Robbie also has had the honour of being selected as captain of the Munster team this year. Today’s final game is against Connacht. Munster go into this game topping the table having drawn 2-2 to Leinster on Friday night and beating Ulster 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Basketball News

Hard luck to the under 19 girls basketball team who lost to Mercy Mounthawk in the south west B semi final. Unfortunately the girls came up against a stronger side on the day. The girls have trained and worked very hard to get to this point and it was an excellent achievement.
