Junior Camogie Final News

The hardest of luck to our Junior Camogie team who were defeated in the Munster A Final today. Each of the girls are very appreciative of all the encouragement and support they received throughout their Munster campaign.

To say our entire school community are very proud of this group is an understatement.

It would not be possible to have reached the final without being surrounded by such strong camogie clubs.

Although today wasn’t our day the future of Hazelwood Camogie is very bright

Supporters Needed

All Roads lead to Ballyagran GAA pitch (V35AK82) this Saturday 27th January @11am to support our Junior girls in their Munster A Camogie final vs Col Choilm, Ballincollig. This is a tremendous achievement for our school having won the Junior C in 2022, Junior B in 2023 and now Munster A Finalists in 2024. We are calling on past and present players, parents, and all members of our school community to come out and support this fantastic bunch of players

All Ireland Camogie

Hazelwood College Principal, Mr Brendan Burke, (far left) and Head of Sport, Mr Tom Halpin, (far right) pictured with County Limerick Junior and Intermediate Camogie squad members (from left) Tara Fitzgibbon, Marie Danaher, Sarah Shanahan and Donna Mulcahy. So far this year the four have won a Minor All-Ireland (Grade A), overcoming Cork in the final, a Junior All-Ireland League and a Junior All Ireland Championship (Grade A), where they defeated a determined and skilful Carlow side. Their victory over Carlow secured their place in the Intermediate All-Ireland against Kilkenny, scheduled for Sunday, 14th September. Hazelwood College’s management, staff and students extend both their congratulations for the huge success enjoyed by the four so far this summer as well as their best wishes for the final against Kilkenny
