A proud day yesterday for past pupil Brian Aherne as Mr Fergus Mc Daid (FAI schools) presented him with his first International Schoolboys Cap. Congratulations to Brian and his family.
End of an Era
Some photos from the last day in school for the class of 2021, it was an unusual end to an unusual Senior Cycle, best of luck to everyone in their future studies and careers.
The overall 2021 Student of the Year was Brian O’Callaghan, LCA Student of the Year was Sandra Dineen. Joint winners of the Principals Award were Shauna Faith Kelly and Edward O’Connor.
Torc Walk 2021
After months of online learning, uncertainty about the Junior Cert and upheaval of their exam Year -the 3rd years finally finished their exams on Friday and headed to Killarney for two days of fresh air, great views and chatting with friends. Well done to all on making it to the top.

Well done to all the students and what they achieved, especially in a challenging year to be a Transition Year. So much of much of Transition Year is about interaction and exploration, much of which was curtailed and restricted this year. Despite these difficulties as you can see from below, the students were still busy and hard working.

3rd Year Options 2021
Normally at this time of year we would meet with all the 3rd year students and their parents to discuss the next steps in their educational progress. Unfortunately this year due to the ongoing pandemic it is not possible to meet in the usual way.
Below you will find a video outlining the options available to 3rd years as they progress to Senior Cycle.
Mr Burke will be in touch with the parents of the 3rd year classes in the coming days to outline the steps that need to be taken to select a course for Senior Cycle

5th year LCPE had a guest speaker recently Limerick native Dave Clancy is the head rugby coach in University of California, Los Angeles, and took some time out of his day to speak to our students about his role as a coach.
