The buying and selling is in full swing at the TY marketplace as they anxiously wait the judges decisions

1st year girls who were defeated by Castletroy in the County Semi Final yesterday with an impressive score line of 9-9 to 9-5!

Well done to the Senior Camogie team who were victorious over Tulla today in the Munster B League Semi-Final in Dromcollogher.

In other news, it wasn’t the day our Junior Camogie team were hoping for, losing out by only one point against Borris Vocational School, Carlow. But the girls can hold their heads high this evening, knowing that they gave it their all and did their school, clubs, families and communities proud today and throughout the season. The talent on display on the pitch today was outstanding and there is no doubt we will hear a lot more from this group. Well done and thank you for giving us all so much to cheer about over the last few weeks.
We would like to thank all the Camogie clubs for their continued support and good wishes. The very best of luck to our girls in the All Ireland semi-final tomorrow in Quaid Park Cooleyroe . Adults 5 euro students 2 euro

Well done to the TYs who completed their creative Learning Space Workshop run in conjunction with the Irish Architecture Foundation under the guidance of architect Claire Chawke

This week we marked Safer Internet Day in our school. Classes completed lessons on Internet safety and keeping themselves and others safe online. First years then attended a talk given by Georgie from Cybersafe kids , they learned a lot about how to protect themselves online, they also took part in a poster competition on Internet safety and took part in monitoring their screens time survey. We hope that this week has given students an insight into the importance of Internet safety.

The Super Chefs of third year just completing their Pre- Practical cookery assessment, worth 50% of their Home Economics marks. Well done to all- very tasty dishes… and to think they had half their 1st yr cookery online during Covid lockdown.! Amazing work done by all.

The very best of luck to TY student and our U15 Soccer team mentor Robbie Lynch. After respresenting the school so well at the recent FAI Schools Interprovincial Tournament Robbie has been invited to Blackburn Rovers for trials this week. Wonderful news for Robbie and his family!!
