Geography Contouring
Both 2nd Year Geography classes learned about contour lines this week in class using potatoes. Contour lines are lines drawn on a map connecting points of equal elevation.
Open Night
For all 6th class pupils and their parents. Watch this space for exciting information about our upcoming virtual Open Night. This will give you the best possible insight into life at Hazelwood College. Enrolment packs will be delivered to our feeder Primary schools after the mid term break. Another day of fun and laughter on the hills for the 3C and 3D class. Tired legs all round !
World Mental Health Day
Well done to the 3A and 3B class who spent the day hiking in Ballyhoura. What better way to mark World Mental Health day than to blow off the cobwebs on top of Seefin Mountain!! In a year where minding our mental health has never been so important it was great to spend the day outdoors enjoying what Co Limerick has to offer. Good luck to the 3C and 3D classes who head off tomorrow
Burren Geography Trip
Our Sixth Year Geography students on their recent field trip to Liscannor Bay with the Burren Outdoor Education Centre where they investigated the impact of Abrasion and Attrition in shaping the coastal landscape. The Field trip is worth 20% of their Leaving Certificate grade.
