History Visit to Cahir Castle

3rd Year History students recently visited Cahir Castle as part of their studies for the Junior Certificate. Cahir Castle is one of the largest castles in Ireland, sited on an island in the river Suir. It was built in 1142 by Conor O’Brien, Prince of Thomond. It is situated in what is now Cahir town centre
