First Years Bond at Cappanalea

First year students accompanied by their Transition Year mentors recently completed two three day bonding sessions at Cappanalea Outdoor Education Centre. While at the centre students participated in a number of activities including: Hillwalking, Kayaking, Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Orienteering, and a number of Team Building Activities including a new activity for Hazelwood College, Blind Orienteering, in which blind folded teams of six had to navigate an obstacle course in the dark. The group with the largest volume remaining in a cup held by one of the team members at the end was the winning team.
