Hazelwood College Debators continue Winning Streak
On Tuesday last, Hazelwood College’s Concern debating team followed up on their recent victories against St Mary’s Secondary School, Charleville and Davis College Mallow in the fourth round of the Concern Schools Debating Competition. The team of Edward Lowe, John Ryan, Sarah Curtin and Triona Sheehy successfully opposed the motion that “ The West in committed to defeating the global Aids pandemic†against an excellent side from the Patrician Academy, Mallow. The teams hard work paid off as they won by a unanimous decision and now join the remaining thirty-one teams nationally, in the fifth round of the competition, to be staged in the near future.
