European Tour – Day 2

Day 2 of our European tour to Amsterdam. An early start and back to Amsterdam centre to visit the fantastic Nemo Science museum and a quick lunch and some shopping in the city. The afternoon was spent in the beautiful traditional port town of Volendam where some of the group hired bikes and enjoyed a cycle along the harbour. Back to the hotel for a good dinner and a night of card games and chats.

European Tour – Day 1

Day one of our European tour to Amsterdam and some very tired bodies here this evening . an early start at the Anne Frank museum where the students learned about the life of Anne Frank before exploring the house where she and her family hid , off then to Dam square for lunch and free time to explore. The afternoon saw the weather pick up and a beautiful cruise on the canals to take in all of the sites. After covering every inch of Amsterdam on foot and by boat it was time to relax with a fun game of bowling, a great meal and some sleep ..hopefully!! It has certainly been a day off of experiencing new cultures with a fantastic group of students. More adventures tomorrow!!

MTU visit for LCPE

Our 5th year LCPE class had a great day last week in Tralee for the annual MTU LCPE Event.

They enjoyed a range of lectures and workshops from the likes of Joe O’Connor (Limerick Hurling Performance Manager) and Monika Durarska (2020 Olympic rower).

Positive Vibes

The students in 2C tutor class decided they would like to make a personal gift for each other this year. So each student got an opportunity to write out some positive adjectives describing each other. A festive bauble keepsake was filled with these positive adjectives for each student. They were delighted with their personal gift along with their hot chocolate drink!

Comhairle na nOg

Well done to our students who gave up their recent day off to take part in Comhairle na nOg today. They got stuck in and identified and voted for the coming years topic. Why don’t you ask them what it is!
