Our future sparks !! The Hazelwood College students who attended the AIB Future Sparks event in the RDS Dublin this week

World Book Day was in full swing in Hazelwood yesterday. Kicking off with a bookmark design competition, the first and second years then each received a book for their own enjoyment. There was some exciting speed book dating and then some whole school DEAR time (drop everything and read) reminding us all that all of the technology in the world can’t beat a good book.
First and second year Basketballers were in action this week agains Villiars. Well done to our first yrs who put in a strong performance, winning on a score line of 12 -7. Hard luck to the 2nd yrs who were beaten 18-32.
Well done to Megan Lenihan. Silver in the Inter Girls shot put with a PB of 12.64m at the Nenagh Schools Indoor Games
Well done to Callum Keating! Gold in the Junior Boys shot putt with a competition PB of 14.50m at the Nenagh Schools Indoor Games!
A big night for Chloe, Sinead and Ciara as their entry Eat, Shoot, Repeat takes to the stage in the regional finals of the Junk Kouture Competition. Best of luck to the girls. Watch this space
