Health Awareness Week – Wednesday Events
Bernie Caroll from the HSE will speak to all students at different stages during the day about Life Awareness – Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.
HumourFit will perform to 1st Years in the Gym from 10.00 – 11.10 on the topic of Bullying
A second Humourfit performance wiil take place from 11.30 – 12.45 in the gym to all students and staff. The topic this time will be ‘The Life and Dreams of Joe O’ Brien’

Conor O Brien, Triona Kelliher, Anne Hayes and Patricia Ahern defeated Laurel Hill of Limerick with a fantastic performance that confirmed their place as one of the top debating schools in the county.
Hazelwood College Debating teams continue on winning streak
Pictured are the Hazelwood College Concern debating team of Conor O Brien, Anne Hayes, Triona Kelleher and Patricia Ahern who defeated Milltown, Co. Kerry. The motion was “Without a ‘war on poverty†terrorism cannot be defeatedâ€.This sees the team safely through to the next round of the prestigious competition. Meanwhile another team have had an extremely successful year in the Co. Limerick VEC debating competition. They have qualified for the final of the competition. This final will take place against Castletroy College in Colaiste na Trocaire, Rathkeale at 7.30pm on Thursday, 24th January. All support is welcome.
