This week the season kicked off for our ladies basketball with matches in JTB Hospital. The cadets beat their opponents 27-39. The seniors didnt get a win get a win despite a valiant effort by all the players. Well done to both our teams!

Hazelwood College’s Senior Basketball team who defeated Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh on the scoreline of 50-11 in the County Limerick Senior Ladies’ Basketball Shield. After an initial quarter, which was tightly contested. Hazelwood launched a scoring blitz, led by Neasa Fahy, Chloe O’Brien and Rachel O’Reagan. This blitz was maintained in the course of the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, tiredness caught up with the Hazelwood College effort and the frenetic pace quietened, leaving the score at 50-11.
