Potential extra night for show
The school is considering adding a third night for this years show. Friday and Saturday nights are now sold out.
Anyone interested in attending Sunday night should contact the school tomorrow (Friday) before 2pm.
A minimum level of attendence will be needed before the performance will be scheduled.
Day Care Centre
Hazelwood College Arts Committee, lead by 5th year student Andrew Cussen, present acheque of €500.00 to Dromcollogher Day Care Centre. The money is the proceeds of the recent Arts Exhibition which was held in Dromcollogher recently.

Hazelwood College’s Annual Variety Show and Concert will take place on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st of March. (Subject to demand an extra performance may take place on Sunday 1st April.) This year will present the usual mix of talent from across all the year groups in the school. Alongside the Variety Show will be a performance of excerpts from the ‘Little Shop of Horrors’. Admission is by ticket only.

DEAR – Drop Everything and Read
To celebrate World Book Day and to promote literacy within the school, staff and students of Hazelwood College decided to take a break from their busy timetables and participate in some DEAR time. On Thursay 1st March students and staff were encouraged to simply DROP EVERYTHING AND READ.

Congratulations and Best Wishes to our caretaker Mr Dan Costello who retired after 42 years service with us. In an achievement not likely to be ever repeated the retirement of Dan brings an end to a proud record of almost 70 years of service. Dan took over the position of caretaker from his father Thomas in 1970. Prior to this Dan’s father had been cartaker in the school for 26 years starting in 1944.
