This picture was taken during the visit from the Brothers of Charity to Hazelwood College. Day services Co-Ordinator Ms Aoife Keogh gave a presentation to First Years on the work of the organisation and afterwards sold some of the lovely handmade Christmas cards, Christmas logs and jewellery to staff and students. The Lifesaver Event is a joint event between all the State agencies involved in car crash situations and recovery, i.e. the Fire and Ambulance Services, the Gardai, Hospital Emergancy Staff. It is an event designed to show students the ‘real’ effects of car crashes and their aftermath.

Mariah was the Overall winner of the 2011 Supervalu -West Limerick Tourism School photography competition. Mariah took a range of photographs showing the best that West Limerick has to offer. Mariah was presented with an Ipad for herself and €500.00 for the school.
